Adventures in Christian Kamping (ACK) is a non-denominational, non-profit youth service organization with a Christian focus. ACK sponsors positive outdoor adventures for children ages 8-18. In 1983 members of a local church established a children’s church camp that, with over 25 years of living-the-camp adventures behind them, has grown into a faith-based tax-exempt community camp.

ACK’s camp is the choice of Casper area families – it’s our camp! For over two decades thousands of campers and staff have attended. The camps are close to Casper, but isolated enough that campers are left for the full week away from their busy in-town routine. Campers attend with their neighbors and friends instead of traveling out of state. The staff, including both adults and teens, comes from this area so follow-up is natural. The activities focus on our great Wyoming western heritage. ACK’s camps are both distinctly Christian and non-denominational. There are no Sunday school type classroom lessons. All are encouraged to investigate religious ideas. The worship services are non-traditional, more childlike. There are no stained glass windows, just cloudless skies and the starscape is spectacular.

The passion of ACK is children. We care about their development, which we believe will be most successful in an environment that allows them to experience a good-hearted community. The overall goal for this project is to provide a camp for people from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds that models a healthy community spirit.
